You donât have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will LIVE. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this? ââJohn⏠â11:25-26⏠â

âChrist arrives right on time to make this happen. He didnât, and doesnât, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadnât been so weak, we wouldnât have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.â ââRomans⏠â5:6-8⏠âMSGâŹâŹ
Baptisms are coming on Easter Sunday! If you would like to be baptized, visit mymissionpoint.com to find more info and to register 𧥠. . . At Mission Point, we believe in Believerâs Baptism. That is to say, as we follow the example of Jesus⌠âAs soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the waterâŚâ Matthew 3:16 (NIV) âŚand the command of Jesus⌠âGo to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy SpiritâŚâ Matthew 28:19 (CEV) ⌠we believe the following about Believers Baptism: a. Baptism is only for those who have accepted Christ - that is why we do not baptize infants (we do infant dedications instead) at Mission Point. The infant cannot understand what is happening, nor choose Christ for himself. Therefore we reserve the right of baptism for those who have consciously and willfully chosen to accept Christ as personal savior and Lord. b. Baptism is only a symbol- Baptism doesnât make you a believer, it simply shows that you already believe. It is your âadvertisementâ to the world that you have accepted Jesus as your savior. Faith, not baptism, saves us. It is an outward symbol of our inward commitment. c. Baptism is to be by immersion while we would baptize a believer in a different mode, we believe that immersion (lowering the believer completely under the water) is not only the way it was done in the Bible, but the best symbol of our âcleansingâ and our âdeathâ and âresurrectionâ there is.
